Understandably so, my
parents were never huge fans of the sleepover. As young kids, my parents were
always super hesitant about letting us sleep over at a friends house.
Sleepovers for me and the boys meant a night full of fun with friends, but to
Mom and Dad it meant really cranky children the next day.
It was a real treat
when we were actually spend the night at someone’s house.
At sleepovers, lots of
games and pranks were always played. But my favorite was always the scavenger
hunt. To this day, if a group of young hunters come to my house, I always try
and give them as many things as I can from my list.
So you can understand
my excitement when I tell you that we are having a team building scavenger hunt
at work tomorrow. I’m not sure I will sleep I’m so excited.
I hope adult scavenger
hunts are as awesome as childhood ones were. I’m sure they will be since I plan
on having an adult beverage while hunting.
What I don’t need to
search for anymore is the perfect salad accessory.
You will need…
1 loaf day old French
bread, cut into cubes
¼ cup olive oil
2 tablespoons garlic
powder
1 tablespoon dried
oregano
½ tablespoon salt
½ tablespoon fresh
black pepper
Start by preheating
your oven to 400 degrees F.
While the oven is
heating, combine the garlic powder, oregano, salt and pepper in a small bowl
and gently combine.
Put the bread in a
large bowl and toss it with the olive oil so all the pieces are lightly oiled.
Slowly add in the
seasoning while you toss the bread so that every piece is well seasoned.
Spread out the bread
onto a baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes.
Just till the croutons are lightly
browned and crunchy.
Remove from the heat
and let them cool slightly.
Use immediately or
store in an airtight container for future use.
